The Realme 10 is a smartphone that was launched by distributors and merchants several months ago, and comes with an international guarantee. This phone has received great acceptance due to its competitive price when compared to other phones in the mid-range class. Having used it for a while, we would like to share with you our review of the Realme 10 today.
The Design
The Realme 10 boasts a unique design with a boxy back and a new flat frame, as well as frameless independent rear cameras. Weighing in at a mere 179 grams and with a thickness of 8mm, this phone is impressively lightweight. The phone’s materials are entirely plastic, including the flat frame.
The Screen
The Realme 10 features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz, making for a well-balanced and impressive display in the mid-range category. However, one noticeable design flaw is the large bottom edge. Additionally, the screen’s brightness is not the best when compared to the Redmi Note 11S, especially under sunlight. Nevertheless, the screen is well-protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and comes with a pre-installed protective film
The Performance
The phone features the MediaTek Helio G99 processor with 6-nanometer technology, an improved version of the popular Helio G96. With higher frequencies and advanced technology savings, the Helio G99 provides superior performance at various levels.
The phone is designed for outstanding performance, with the processor maintaining high frequencies even under heavy loads. Overheating is not a concern, as the phone maintains a comfortable temperature level.
Compared to the Redmi Note 11S, the Realme 10 boasts faster program opening times and noticeable performance superiority. With its advanced processor, the Realme 10 is an excellent choice for those seeking a high-performance smartphone.
Safety factors
The phone boasts a fingerprint sensor integrated within the power button, delivering fast and hassle-free performance. Additionally, the Face Unlock feature offers excellent performance with speedy results. Running on the Android 12 operating system with Realme UI 3.0 interface, the phone is equipped with all necessary sensors, including the proximity sensor which delivers excellent performance.
However, it’s important to note that the phone’s speakers are mono, which may disappoint those expecting stereo sound. While the volume level is quite acceptable, the overall sound quality is not the best.
On the bright side, the communication network and Wi-Fi are excellent, ensuring seamless connectivity with no issues or shortcomings.
Battery
The phone’s battery packs a powerful 5000mAh capacity, ranking among the best in the middle-class category. With the consumption-saving processor and efficient operating system, the battery lasts up to 9 hours on a single charge, delivering long-lasting performance.
In terms of charging, the phone supports 33W charging, allowing the battery to be fully charged in just an hour and fifteen minutes, saving you valuable time.
Cameras
The phone features a dual rear camera setup, with a primary 50-megapixel camera boasting an F/1.8 lens slot, accompanied by a secondary 2-megapixel camera with an F/2.4 lens slot. Additionally, the front-facing camera features a 16-megapixel camera with an F/2.45 lens slot.
While the phone’s camera performance is not considered exceptional compared to its competitors, such as the Redmi Note 11S, it still delivers decent results. In comparison to the Note 11S, which boasts a 108-megapixel lens, the Realme 10 may fall short in terms of detail and realism. However, the Realme 10 delivers more color-saturated images and improved skin tones, resulting in a more vivid look.
Unfortunately, the phone’s selfie camera does not perform well as it attempts to enhance images and colors, resulting in images that are far from realistic. In contrast, the Note 11S delivers superior detail and realism.
Regarding video recording, the phone supports 1080p at 30 frames per second, but it does not support 4K recording and lacks optical or electronic stabilization. However, the addition of an extra microphone for noise isolation is a plus.
Realme 10 features:
- Excellent mid-range performance
- Battery is more than excellent
- The operating interface is stable
- The sensors are real
- Excellent networking
- Screen brightness is not the best
- Very modest cameras
- Mono’s sound isn’t the best
The phone is widely regarded as one of the most well-balanced smartphones in its price category, offering a comprehensive set of specifications that outperform many competitors, including the Oppo Reno 8 4G.
